This is the prequel to this thread. A genesis would read that Alan and Nigel married, lived together and investigated the supernatural together, until the age of thirty-one. An incident of shadows much like the one early on in Enlightenment happened again, but when the night ended, Alan was gone. And most of others' memory of him as well. Except for Nigel. For five years, he was the only one to remember. To recall. To continue on.
Summary: Beyond the shadow you settled for, there's a miracle illuminated-- But not yet. Not yet.
